We highly suggest stopping here on your way to our house to pick up some food for your stay. Prices in South Lake tend to be "tourist prices" so grocery shopping in Carson City is your best bet if you're trying to keep costs down.

The Stagecoach lift for Heavenly Mountain is just over 1.5 miles from our house and is one of our favorite areas to ski. Make sure you get there early though - this lot is known to fill up within 30 minutes of opening! There are also some great hiking trails in this area for summer adventures.
