One of the most beautiful hikes around, and not too strenuous. Parking near the trailhead has been impeded with parking restrictions. We have added a possible workaround, but have not yet verified its feasibility.

Starts on the Buddist Monastery. It's an uphill climb to the abandoned hotel near the mountain top. Great views, we include a photo from the ledge shortly past the hotel ruins. The athletic can proceed farther on to Echo Lake.
