The food is delicious. The portions are huge. The place is nice. The service is great. It stays open late. What more could someone want? We’d say the pasta is particularly good. Although they have cuisine options ranging from Shahi Indian to European.

This little restaurant is easy to miss. So, if you're not looking for it, you probably won't notice it. It's kind of below ground level at the further end of the Mall Road. However, if you do happen upon it, this place is excellent. The food is delicious, they have some really fun cocktail and mocktail options. The space itself is lovely! Their butter chicken is great.

An iconic coffee house chain in India. The menu is said to not have changed in fifty years. It serves South Indian food--dosas, vadas, sambhar--at ridiculously low prices. The drip coffee is also quite good, we’ve had quite a few!

Sightseeing

This magnificent building was built in 1888 as the residence of the British Viceroy Lord Dufferin. It is located at the observatory Hills and is surrounded by well-maintained gardens and lawns, ringed by beautiful pine trees & rose plants. The Viceregal Lodge, also known as "Rashtrapati Niwas" is now converted into Indian Institute of Advanced Study and students come here for higher studies. The building has an English Renaissance style of architecture, where the color of limestone is grey. Since it is located at a good height, the views from this place are enthralling and cannot be described in words

Located at the very top of the mall road this jewel is a real looker. It is the oldest Neo-Gothic church in India (yes, we know, there probably aren’t that many to begin with), however, they’ve maintained this one quite well. The five stained glass windows on the inside are really lovely and worth a peek.

Gorton Castle sits down from the Mall Road by the Railway Station. It’s a well-kept colonial building nestled in a myriad of Deodar trees. Rothney Castle is on Jakhoo Hill. The upkeep has been a bit shabby but it’s still a good walk. It used to be occupied by Mr. Hume who also founded the Indian National Congress.
