The Central Market is worth a visit; •Here you can have close contact with people, observe what is consumed and do your shopping; •You can find all kind of vegetables, fruit, legumes, cashew nuts, seafood of all kinds and also different type of meat; •You can have a look and taste indigenous/exotic fruits like the Baobab’s fruit, tsintsiva and many others; •Here you can also ask for recipes to make some of the local dishes; •Please ask prices from different sellers to make sure you are paying the correct price and also pay attention to the scale weighing the products. Visiting Hours: The market opens between 7am and 6pm, but the best time to visit is between 10am and 2pm;

Best place for pizza. Also serves italian food, salads, burgers. Very cosmopolitan restaurant. Very good place to meet international and local people and watch sports.

This is a park where you can find two restaurants. There is a restaurant serving Italian and Mozambican food and there is another restaurant with Mozambican food only. I like the Mozambican food one. The food is good and the prices are really very good.
Here you can have genuine local food. If you are a group try to ask for different dishes and taste a bit of everything. I would reccommend our "Matapa", vegetarian or with sea food, "Feijao Nhemba", "Quiabos", "chamussas" and "rissois". Try to eat with shima (our polenta).

Avenida dos Mártires da MachavaThis is a park where you can find two restaurants. There is a restaurant serving Italian and Mozambican food and there is another restaurant with Mozambican food only. I like the Mozambican food one. The food is good and the prices are really very good.

Take the ferryboat, cross the bay to Catembe, walk in the beach to the left side and find Diogo Restaurant. A very good restaurant with tradition to serve the best sea food and fish.
It takes 20 minutes to cross the bay, then walk another 25 minutes on the beach and have a wonderful lunch.
