Appreciable monuments at Damalas are:
The Church of Agia Eirini, built in 1800. In side the church the visitor can see elaborate marble chancel screen/iconostasis, the beautifully made wooden partition of gynaikonitis (a place inside the church only for women) and marvellous marble baptistery.
In the northwest end of village is situated the old olive press, which was restored, with initiative of residents, in 2000 and it functions. In the old olive press (trio) you can see the perfect architecture of the building and the instruments of that season... Mainly you can live as triatoras working in the “roll” and in “ergati”. Entry is free.
In the entry of village there is a traditional pottery place.

Δυιλιστήριο Κίτρου
Εδώ και περίπου 150 χρόνια, η οικογένεια Βαλληνδρά παράγει κίτρο σε μια μικρή μονάδα απόσταξης στο Χαλκί. Ο Γρηγόρης Βαλληνδράς και ο γιος του Μάρκος, αποφάσισαν να αξιοποιήσουν το τοπικό προϊόν της Νάξου, αποκτώντας την πρώτη επίσημη άδεια λειτουργίας της ποτοποιίας τους το 1896. Από τότε μέχρι σήμερα οι άμβυκες δεν έχουν σταματήσει να λειτουργούν. Στα ίδια καζάνια η τέταρτη και η πέμπτη γενιά αποστάζει τα φύλλα της κιτριάς δίνοντας το μοναδικό σε άρωμα απόσταγμα, που αποτελεί ένα από τα τρία ποτά με προστατευόμενη ονομασία προέλευσης στην Ελλάδα. Η παραδοσιακή ποτοποιία Βαλληνδρά είναι επισκέψιμη και προσφέρει ένα γευστικό ταξίδι στο χρόνο και στα μυστικά της απόσταξης. Ο επισκέπτης μπορεί να δοκιμάσει τις τρεις διαφορετικές ετικέτες κίτρου, αλλά και τα υπόλοιπα αποστάγματα της οικογένειας.
