An incredible stately home, which has featured in ‘Brideshead revisited’ & ‘Victoria’ as well as being the location for Arctic Monkeys video for one of their albums.
It’s still the family home to the Howard’s and is truly a national treasure.

A pretty village, with ‘chocolate box’ cottages, shops, cafes, two pubs and a lovely bistro, Thornton-le-Dale is the closest village to Gumboots & Wellingtons, just a 20 minute stroll along the beck (that’s a Yorkshire term for stream) or via the country lane, under the canopy of trees.
