The restaurant owner is Chef Salvatore Calisi. He came from Dio Deka in Los Gatos with excellent cooking experience in Mediterranean cuisine. I love the Polipo which is their grilled octopus. Everything tastes better under the nicely lit front patio dining area.

This is a great place to grab a quick Vietnamese Shaking Beef or Roasted Pig Belly plate over steamed white rice. Take the food with you on the way to the Garlic Festival or outlets in Gilroy.

There is no way I am going to let you leave the Bay Area without trying the best rotisserie chicken over a bed of siu siu rice topped with carmelized onion. The owner has over 20 years of making steamed chicken for Pho Ga Ha Nam on story road. Of course, the student has exceeded the master; her restaurants specialize in chicken. You can get chicken with red rice, udon, or yellow egg noodles. Simple food that is so so delicious.

Pho Y on Capitol Expressway on Silver Creek Expressway in San Jose, CA used to be my favorite pho restaurant. That is...until Papa came to town. Pho Papa is always packed because they are efficient and have the best fresh thick noodles in town. The broth is made from real bones that have been brewing over night in their glass kitchen. Pho in Viet Nam is traditionally served in a small bowl for breakfast. This is great for a hang over, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack.

Pho in Viet Nam is traditionally served in a small bowl for breakfast. This is great for a hang over, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack.
Chef David Kinch deserves his 3 Michelin Stars. This is my favorite restaurant in the whole wide world. I have eaten at many fancy places and this place is still the top of my list. They lost a lot of Japanese dishes that were collected in 15 years in their second fire due to arson. Yet, after their millionaire dollar renovation, they finally earned their third star for their innovative (expensive) tasting menu and world class wine pairing. If you are planning to make reservations, please take me. I will drop everything to go with you.

They lost a lot of Japanese dishes that were collected in 15 years in their second fire due to arson. Yet, after their millionaire dollar renovation, they finally earned their third star for their innovative (expensive) tasting menu and world class wine pairing. If you are planning to make reservations, please take me. I will drop everything to go with you.
I can't say that I love to cook or clean. I might be obsessive about having a clean house or office but I prefer to be served a good bowl of rice by someone else after a long week of being a slave to someone else. I eat at Dong Que AT LEAST once a week. They make better deep fried chicken feet and sturgeon hot pot with onchoy than anyone I know and that includes my mother.
