Hólmavík... The Sorcery Town.
Located at the east coast of the Westfjords. In the year 1654 three men were burnt alive for sorcery and a witch-craze followed. This period of time has been called "Brennuöldin" or "The Fire Century". You can learn all about this at the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft in this otherwise lovely town.
