One of Rio's most iconic neighborhoods and beaches. A one stop subway ride, 15 min bike ride or 30 min walk from our apartment. Besides the amazing beach, Ipanema has great restaurants and bars, live music venues, and of course, amazing/romantic sunset views. Ipanema has a ton to offer.
Incredible views of of the city. It can get crowded at high season but it still is a must see for all who visit Rio!

This is the hill before the sugar Sugar Loaf. The hike lasts about 45 min and it is very easy. Once at the top you have panoramic views of the city, tourist shops and cafes.

Leme is just a 15 to 20 min walk from the apartment. The beaches tend to be less crowded than in Copacabana. If you walk to the end you will find bars with great ocean views.

Good selection of Brazilian favorites. Good service and relaxed Carioca atmosphere. We have been going here for years and love this place. Prices are reasonable also. Tip: their pizzas are really good.

If you get the chance try to see the OSB (Brazilian Symphonic Orchestra) perform here. It is absolutely stunning! Tip: Sometimes you can purchase very cheap tickets for shows.
