Sightseeing
This botanical garden is just 5 minutes walk from the house. Start at 158 Ngoc Ha street and walk towards the HCM mausoleum. At the T intersection, make a left to get to the entrance of the park. It is great for a walk or a run and watch the local do their morning exercises. The entrance fee is 2000 VND ( 10 cents). They only accept Vietnamese currency.

Hanoi Botanical Garden

This is the largest lake in the city of Hanoi. There are lots of great sites around the lake such as pagodas, temples, restaurants and simply just great lake side coffee shops.
Whether you're on bike or motorcycle or on foot, it will be good to explore the different neighborhood by just following to road along the lake. You will see a lot of great villas, old architecture etc.
