The Old Soldiers Home Golf Course is a really, really beautiful place. I believe it's the 2nd largest piece of land in D.C. This is where President Lincoln had his cottage. You can go tour the grounds and see the cottage. Only members can play golf there, but they occasionally allow you to give the course a test run if you're considering joining. They may also allow you to play the course for the guest fee, which last I checked was about $20 per 9 holes. The course is very well kept.

The Howard School of Divinity is a beautiful place. The grounds are incredible. The statutes on the front of the building are seriously amazing. It's right next to the house and really worth looking at.

Rock Creek Park is one of the very unique and special places in Washington, D.C. It's a great place to take a hike and feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, while remaining inside the district. Pretty cool.
