Steele Creek Park

Location Steele Creek Park is located on the west side of the lake off of FM 56 near Lakeside Village, Texas. Facilities Steele Creek Park has 21 camp/picnic sites with ground cookers. Water faucets are located throughout the park. There are two restrooms (with toilet facilities only) and two boat ramps in the park. The picnic sites have a covered table, an upright BBQ grill, and water close by. The beach shelters have a shelter and an upright BBQ grill. McCown Valley Park also has one of the two swimming beaches on the lake. There are two sand volleyball courts and one restroom available in the park. Fees There is a fee of $1 per person (but no more than $4 per vehicle) charged for the use of this area. A convenient $30 annual day use pass may be purchased that will allow access to these facilities without paying a fee at the gatehouse. The use of a Golden Age or Golden Access Passport will cut all fees mentioned above in half. The new boat ramp access road is complete and allows boaters to access the boat ramp area through the park. The new road crosses under the Hwy 174 bridge. (Note: The original entrance to boat ramp area has been closed.
