If you want great skiing and/or fun summer actives Hunter mountain is a must. During the winter there are many great runs on the mountain. During the summer take the lift up and hike the mountain or do the amazing zip lines.

This is probably the most consistently great gallery space in Hudson. Pamela is the new owner, the previous one retired, and has continued to bring a wonderful mix of upcoming and established artists. Make sure you visit the barn in the backyard. It’s a special space filled with lots of love.

Nothing like going back in time in this class theater. With the large stage and ornate original moldings it feels like you go back in time. It’s not the AMC. But it can be a fun night out.

This little town (9 miles away) is super quant. It is making a bit of a resurgence. This would be a second tier for a place to visit. I would go to Hudson, Tannersville or Woodstock first.
There are a couple restaurants and bars that are fun. Nothing is super fancy. I would check out The Lumberyard as I have seen a couple amazing performances. Musicians and shows they test for New York broadway are sometimes showing there. It is a great theater find info at: https://www.lumberyard.org/.

I love this restaurant. They pretty much have everything you want from vegan, to fish, to great cuts of meat. All of their vegetables are fresh and wonderful. And the atmosphere is great. I would call for a reservation.

Great place for a brunch to start the afternoon off on the right foot. They have all the tasty staples. Also, at night the Hotel/cafe has a very sexy bar that makes some amazing cocktails. Great new addition to Hudson.

They have great coffee, sandwiches and other things. If time it right in the morning sometimes the fresh cinnamon rolls are still warm when you get there in the morning! Try the Pine Grove or Helena Panino sandwiches, always a great thing to grab for a local hike!

The go-to grocery store that is the first stop on the way up to the cabin. It has all the basics and it is right off the exit from the highway. If you are looking for good meat, check out the Smoke House. If you want super fresh veggies, check out Story Farms.

Some of the best produce in the area is only a few miles away. I have heard that people travel from Hudson to this farm stand as their produce is usually fresh picked that day/week.

If you are looking for a solid meat selection for BBQ-ing and you find yourself in Woodstock this is a great place to stock up. The staff is extremely knowledgeable.
