Sightseeing

You should definitely come and check out Mazunte, with its beautiful beaches and its delicious food and joints to just chill and relax for as long as you can. There's also Punta Cometa, which is the longest point of the south side of Mexico and gives you a great view of the beaches and the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. It also holds the notable Museo de la Tortuga which was founded to protect sea turtles that had been endangered for a long time in these beaches before they became tourists attractions.

Beautiful set of beaches near the Puerto Ángel area. A bit further from Mazunte and San Agustinillo, but a great place to go and have a nice proper swim, since it's located on a little bay that holds the strong sea tide a bit more in comparison to open beaches like San Agustinillo or Zipolite. And, since there's always the possibility of maybe not being the best swimmer at sea, this place gives you the opportunity to dive in without it being a risk like in open beaches.

One of the most beautiful open beaches in the area. With an amazing 15 miles of sand you will be awed by the beauty and the feel of this place. It holds within it a natural mangrove reserve, which you can check out in a boat with guides that host the place and also take care of it and its flora and fauna. It's a great place to enjoy the sunset and sunshine as well.

Food scene

Beautiful beach just a few steps further from Mazunte. Also a great place to visit and enjoy amazing food, views and a good walk alongside the sea. This beach is catalogued as one of the most calm beaches around, since they have a policy of no noise and parties after 10 pm, which Mazunte in the other hand doesn't. So, there's place for everyone around the area =). As a tip you should definitely try the food they have at "El Navegante" which blends amazing delicious cuisine from all over with local ingredients and incredible flavors. A definite must to try in San Agustinillo.

Consejos para la ciudad

Facilidad para moverse por la casa

Pasajeras and Taxis Colectivos works just fine to move.

Try to take them after peak hours, like 7 am or 5 to 6 pm, since most of the people that work on the beaches come and go from their places to work at around those times and sometimes the cars and vans are fully packed; so, you might have to wait more than expected.
