A breathtaking stroll along Cromer pier will provide not only lushious ice cream, fish and chips, but also an informative and interested conclusion with a visit to the Cromer life boat station located on the very tip of pier. Entrance is free, and the tour will tell you all about the history of the life boats of North Norfolk, along with an inside look at the state-of-the-art lifeboat housed there. Sunday mornings and Thursdays give the opportunity for the general public to wittness the boat being launched and watch the crews take part in their crucial training. Whilst in Cromer, why not go to the cinema or be treated to No. 1 fish and chips, located on sea front to the left of the pier. For fresh fish lovers, the little fish shop located on the road leading to the mouth of the pier can supply you with virtually any fish you require.

Felbrigg Hall
Felbrigg National trust house gives the visitors an insight into life at the hall as it was many hundreds of years ago. The natural parkland surrounding this wonderful building are available for walkers and animal lovers alike, and are still farmed with the traditional methods of yesteryears. Well worth a visit and a great place to take a picnic. Typically uncrowded, a super place to have some historically informative relaxing time together.

Located in the very pretty part of Norwich city, it is a great place to begin your sight seeing tour. Goal hill and the market are located close by, along with many antique shops and cafe bars. Very different to Felbrigg Hall, Blickling is what I can only describe as 'your typically well kept National trust treasure'. A 25 minute drive from the house, loads of parking and acres of beautiful gardens to enjoy, along with a nice inviting coffee and snack shop and its very own pub! if you enjoy National trust, you will LOVE this one. Please book in advance during summer months.

Horsey wind pump gives visitors the opportunity to climb up the windmill and enjoy the spectacular views on offer across the wild broads. Educational, interesting and informative, with a tea and snack kiosk on site, there are many walks around the adjoining lakes on offer to those who wish to enjoy the surrounding countryside. I thoroughly recommend you combine your trip with a visit to see the Horsey gap seals, located just a mile from the windpump. A really great day out to get into the spirit of wild and wonderful Norfolk.

The boat trip itself is an experience, the (unsinkable) boat crews are both educational and entertaining, and for me, this is the best £10 that anyone can spend on their trip to rural Norfolk. The Anchor pub, albeit a little pricey, is a very warm and inviting place to have a drink and something to eat after your journey, (please do book in advance for both the trip and the a table at the pub) and the scenery that you will encounter is certainly more than memorable. Best to be enjoyed in the late afternoon / early evening during the summer months, just as the sun is turning to set. Massive skies and the open sea are sure to build an appetite.... be prepared to want to eat something afterwards!
