This is our favorite restaurant on the Island! It's where we always go out for our nice dinner or brunch. Great for romantic date night, or family dinner--they love kids! Everything on the menu is delicious, and we've probably tried it all over the years. Chef Rico's specials are always the best, but you have to try the Spinach Gnocchi, Parma Bread, and Lasagna! Wonderful staff and wine selection.
Reserve a patio table early if you plan to come for an event weekend -- perfect parade spot!

We've been buying our fresh-caught seafood from Sampson & Son's ever since I can remember. They've been in business for literally 100 years! Expert knowledge about what and how you should cook for dinner. (They will fillet the fish, etc. for you). The kids will enjoy seeing the resident pelicans along the docks.

I love this little place for the food, drinks, dog-friendly sidewalk-patio, beignets, shrimp, crawfish, gumbo...yum! My favorite is the shrimp kettle with garlic bread!

This is where you go if you want to go all out! Like, a major anniversary or birthday, without the kids. Every dish and every part of the service is perfect. They have a dress code and you’ll need a reservation FYI!

The Bishop's Palace is the most beautiful house in the world! (according to us, and alot of other people). It has a fascinating history, and the architecture is truly a gem. If you have time to schedule a tour, it's worth every cent and every minute!

Texas history museum with a Galveston focus. Just the right size for an afternoon visit, very well done exhibits. There is a creative children’s area in the basement with a pirate-themed play space. Open late on Thursdays, they have live music in the garden and sell beer and wine in the gift shop! Great place for souvenirs.

There is a creative children’s area in the basement with a pirate-themed play space. Open late on Thursdays, they have live music in the garden and sell beer and wine in the gift shop! Great place for souvenirs.
I don’t even like trains, and I had fun! Absolutely great place for kids of all ages. Free parking with admission, and it’s at the end of the Stand (close to restaurants and shops)!

The Aquarium is our favorite part of Moody Gardens. It's a great rainy-day (or sunburned-day) activity for any age. During the Holidays, they do a really cool trail of lights.

Shopping along the Strand is a tradition! A variety of shops and a few restaurants and bars are house in historic buildings along this street. Many shops are dog-friendly too. The Strand Brass has beautiful souvenirs, and unique Christmas ornaments.
