Drinks and crisps in this Pub that time has stopped for! Very interesting and historical inside and out. Lovely sun deck at the top with view out to the sea, tables, chairs and parasols.

I did not eat pizza till I moved here! Its the best, even on par with Italy! I love an ice cream and the selection in there is second to none. There must be about 20! Plus quite a few vegan ice cream flavours and dog icecream...literally yummy! Takeaway and delivery only. They don't deliver on Tues eves

Roka Pizza Sandgate

it's so lovely to sit at the Boathouse cafe. Which is the only cafe in Sandgate that is literally overlooking the beach. They sell amazing Mackrell rolls, brie and cranberry rolls, fish fingers sarnies and loads more and if whippy ice cream is your bag then this is the place. This is a snack place really and only opens when the weather is good and I think is open from 9ish till 5ish. but they don't seem to have set times. i like it's quirky tables with little painted pebbles on them. This is the place to go on a hot day, but it can get very busy!
The Boat House
Granville Paradeit's so lovely to sit at the Boathouse cafe. Which is the only cafe in Sandgate that is literally overlooking the beach. They sell amazing Mackrell rolls, brie and cranberry rolls, fish fingers sarnies and loads more and if whippy ice cream is your bag then this is the place. This is a snack place really and only opens when the weather is good and I think is open from 9ish till 5ish. but they don't seem to have set times. i like it's quirky tables with little painted pebbles on them. Lovely place for breakfast and coffees, also lunch. Its a cafe and cake with yummy meals to take home and cook. Very cool, arty, colourful space, welcomes dogs and kids! Very friendly place!

Kids are allowed, but its never noisy! Wonderful ambience, with inside and outside spaces. Top quality wines and champagnes staff are wine experts and will inform and help chose or let you have a little taste before buying where possible.
Sit in or take out to enjoy the wines. Yummy small plates, including cheese and meats. Sometimes pasta nights and other nights are bookable. If you don't drink there is alcohol free beer or Kambocha.
