It soon became the first restaurant in Lisbon to be awarded two Michelin stars, and in 2015 it was added to the list of the world's 100 best restaurants. Today it's only possible to get a table by booking weeks or even months in advance, also because it only has ten tables.
The chef Jose Avillez has several restaurants in Lisbon and Porto, but this where he presents his haute cuisine, reinventing Portuguese and international flavors.

It's worth making the 10-minute journey from Cais do Sodré to Cacilhas.
This waterfront district on the southern bank of the Tagus offers one of the most beautiful views of Lisbon and has several restaurants known for their fresh fish. That journey is made on a "cacilheiro," a single-hull ferry that does the public transportation service between the two sides of the river. As soon as you arrive in Cacilhas you can smell the fish being grilled, inviting you to take a break for a meal before visiting the Monument to Christ nearby.

Travel by train from Sintra to Lisbon from Rossio Estacion in 40min. It's easy to mistaken this station for a palace. To the left of the building is a square with several cafés with outdoor seating.

Built in the mid-11th century, during the Moorish period, this fortification is situated in the area most difficult to access at the top of the hill. A fantastic view!

Is called locally the Feira da Ladra, often thought to mean "Thieve's Market" (in Portuguese "ladra" is a woman thief) but it actually derives from "ladro," a bug found in antiques.
Hand-made artisan goods, CD's, books, clothes, stamps, coins, military objects, antiques and furniture is all on display here, so the occasional bargain is still possible.
Engracia Church, or the National Pantheon, can be seen standing proudly just a short walk away.

It's filled with wooden furniture and small potted trees to create the feeling of a garden.
It presents a varied calendar of events, including performances by DJs and outdoor cinema, and there is still room for meals (burgers of meat, fish and soy).
Please note that it does not accept reservations.
