The small bay at Steephill Cove has been described as one of the Isle of Wight’s hidden treasures due to its exceptionally pretty beach, the abundance of crabs and lobsters waiting to be caught, and its secluded location.
Entry to the beach is via pathways only, yet its reduced accessibility adds to its air of mystery. The two routes are via the coast path through Ventnor or down through the Ventnor Botanical Gardens.

fantastic day out, explore one of Queen Victoria's favourite places. The house has some beautiful rooms to explore full of treasures to see. The grounds are exceptional,l wander round for a full days exploration.

Ventnor with its many shops, pubs and restaurants is well worth a visit.
Ventnor Beach is a great suntrap, and the sand and shingle beach is great for sunbathing and family swimming.
The beach huts that line the back of the beach are converted Victorian “bathing machines” and are available to hire, along with deckchairs.
Ventnor Harbour and the bandstand development are very prominent on the seafront and offer a great viewing platform to look out to sea, and the Ventnor Haven Fishery sells the best in local crab and lobster.
