The Bratislava Castle, located near the centre, is one of the most famous and most visited monuments in Bratislava. Getting to the castle is easy because it takes only 20 minutes. Just follow the sidewalk from the centre. It is operated during the summer season daily from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. Experiencing the bobsled track will definitely be an unforgettable experience for you and it is an interesting way to spend your time. If you are in the woods, taking the chairlift from Kamzík to Železná Studnička is the right choice to make. The cable car has an overhang of 186 meters, and it can carry 342 people in one hour.

This protected site is extremely rich in fossil remains of marine coastal and terrestrial fauna and flora. You would not expect there used to be a sea in this area 14 – 16 million years ago! On top of the historical importance, the Sandberg site will enchant you with the most beautiful panoramic views!
Sandberg is situated in Devin which is a borough of Bratislava, 12 km away from the city center. The easiest way to get here is by car. An alternative is to take a taxi (if you don’t have a car). The public transport is quite easy, too. You need to get on the bus 28 at the „Most SNP“ station. It is the one under the UFO bridge. The bus journey takes around 25 minutes. If you prefer the most direct way, get off at the bus station “Na hriadkach”. Then walk up the Primoravska Street and after approximately 300 meters, turn right to the Slovinec Street.Walk until the end of the street where you will see the ramp. You will see Sandberg right after passing it.
If you came by car, you also need to park it somewhere down in the village as there is no parking allowed next to Sandberg and you need to walk up the Primoravska Street.
If you like hiking, another alternative is to come here from the Devin Castle (the route starts from the Devin Castle parking lot) what we strongly recommend. There are several possible tracking routes of various difficulty and marked with different colours. You can start the tour at Sandberg as well – there are many markings showing you various directions to choose from.
If you come to see only Sandberg without hiking and admiring the nature around, it will be a very brief stop. Don’t take it the wrong way – the importance of this site is great but there is not much to do around. Just look at the pictures to see how beautiful this area is!

It was originally painted in just pastel colors - as the blue paint, tiles, and mosaics were added, the little building became a popular sight, and its doors were open to the public. Today, even the benches, ceiling, and the walls are painted in blue and covered in majolica and blue-glazed ceramic tiles.
The church is dedicated to Elizabeth, the 19th-century Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary, and is a popular place for weekend weddings.

The 18th-century Neoclassical Primate's Palace in the heart of Old Town has a significant place in history. This is where the fourth Peace of Pressburg was signed in 1805 between Napoleon and the Holy Roman Emperor to end the War of the Third Coalition. Today, the palace is the seat of Bratislava's mayor, though parts of it remain open to the public for tours.
Perhaps the most famous room in the palace is the Hall of Mirrors, a stunning, lavish conference room decorated in reds and golds. Special classical concerts and events are sometimes held here. After walking through the palace, head out into the inner courtyard to find a fountain with a statue of St. George, known as "the dragon slayer."

Primatial Palace
2 Primaciálne námestieThe 18th-century Neoclassical Primate's Palace in the heart of Old Town has a significant place in history. This is where the fourth Peace of Pressburg was signed in 1805 between Napoleon and the Holy Roman Emperor to end the War of the Third Coalition. Today, the palace is the seat of Bratislava's mayor, though parts of it remain open to the public for tours.
Perhaps the most famous room in the palace is the Hall of Mirrors, a stunning, lavish conference room decorated in reds and golds. Special classical concerts and events are sometimes held here. After walking through the palace, head out into the inner courtyard to find a fountain with a statue of St. George, known as "the dragon slayer."
