Sightseeing
Cornwall's Cathedral is situated right at the heart of Truro. Its three spires and amazing architecture dominate the city skyline, making it one of the most iconic buildings in Cornwall, with over 200,000 visitors a year. Designed by John Loughborough Pearson, Truro Cathedral has stunning architecture and some of the best examples of stained glass windows anywhere in the country and was only completed in 1910.

The most picturesque cobbled shopping street in Cornwall. Some lovely independent shops with a fabulous view of the cathedral.

Walks & Picnic
Beautiful, well kept gardens just off St George’s road. Lots of benches and a lovely, newly opened cafe/takeaway (Pollen in the Park).

Lovely large park just a miles walk along the rivers edge from Truro. Good facilities including well equipped children’s play area, outdoor exercise equipment, sports (tennis, table tennis, football pitch, boules/pétanque area). Small cafe on the grounds.
Opposite the park is a lovely large duck pond and the Trennick Mill restaurant.

Boscawen Park
Malpas RoadLovely large park just a miles walk along the rivers edge from Truro. Good facilities including well equipped children’s play area, outdoor exercise equipment, sports (tennis, table tennis, football pitch, boules/pétanque area). Small cafe on the grounds.
Opposite the park is a lovely large duck pond and the Trennick Mill restaurant.
Very picturesque riverside spot just 1.5 miles along the river from Truro. The walk is a fairly level and very scenic. This area has been recently regenerated & maintained by a team of volunteers.
Malpas village is just half a mile further. Although the village is small there are public toilets plus a popular gastropub (the Heron) and newly opened coffee shop by the marina.
There is no/very limited parking in the village so walking or taxi/bus is recommended
Sunny Corner
Very picturesque riverside spot just 1.5 miles along the river from Truro. The walk is a fairly level and very scenic. This area has been recently regenerated & maintained by a team of volunteers.

Multiple award winning gastropub. One of the locals favourite places to eat and drink - old fashioned pub at the front and Michelin star worthy restaurant at the back. Good beer garden. Booking essential for dinner.
