Driving along Seawall Blvd on Galveston Island is great sightseeing. The beach and the Gulf of Mexico are on one side of the road and the other side is restaurants hotels, motels, beach shops and other sights. You can drive, walk, bike and roller along the seawall.(They rent bikes and rollerblades) You can also sit on the benches and people watch or enjoy the view, or play on the beach. This is about 20 miles on freeway from the condo.

This is the oldest drug store in Galveston. Only open for breakfast and Lunch, this is a good place for lunch if you are spending time in the Postoffice St art galleries. Be sure to try the dill potatoe salad.

Really like the atmosphere here as well as the food. There is a nice outdoor patio as well as indoor eating. Always lots of good menu choices. oh! did I mention their wonderful bakery right across the street.
