If local dives are more your thing, this is the spot! It's half bar/half liquor store, with tons of craft beer available but also with $2 drafts of Budweiser or PBR. Absolutely nothing fancy about this spot, but the local flavor is fantastic.

The Bloomingdale Trail is now known as the 606, and it's a great park path that runs from my neighborhood to Lincoln Park. It is a reclaimed train line but it's a great way to cut due east/west on foot or on bike.
