Beat places to walk and experience nature
20 min - Walk, bike or run on this 7 mile loop around Salem Lake. Pier fishing and boating allowed for a fee along with paddle craft available for rent. Plenty of parking, restrooms, pick nick tables and a playground for kids. Trail is gravel with plenty of shade in the summer. My favorite spot is where the trail splits and a small brook feeds the lake. If you hike a little ways up the hill you'll find the perfect spot to hang out and listen to the babbling brook.

Everyone is required to wear a life jacket unless you pass a swim test. I prefer to just kick back and relax with my life jacket and a pool noodle.
