- Museo del Oro is Colombia's best museum and one of South America's best museums. The museum displays more than 55 000 pieces of gold from pre-Hispanic cultures in Colombia. The entrance fee is only 4 000 COP, and it is free on Sundays, although it is less crowded during the week.

cable car, train. Bogota is 2640 meters above sea level and even higher above the city, at 3152 meters, towers a mountain with a sacred church, Monserrate Monastery and beautiful views of the city. There are three ways to get to the top of the mountain: funicular (cable railway), cable car (gondola), or active travelers can walk. If walking, for security it’s best to go on the weekends when there is more traffic.
