This cheese shop opened in July 2014 selling cheese made on the premises from the cows milked on the farm. Bassine Specialty Cheeses has since developed into a 'cheese cafe' open seven days a week, selling a large variety of cheese styles and flavours made on the farm, also Devonshire tea, cheesecakes, gourmet toasties and milkshakes and coffee made with their own milk. Enjoy free cheese tastings and browse the shop which is loaded with local gourmet products and produce. The team also produce and distribute their own farm milk and cream under the Bass River Dairies label. Available at the Farm and through local supermarkets and general stores around Phillip Island and along the Bass Coast. Bassine Specialty Cheeses is open seven days a week and they would love you to visit their farm cafe. You can sample their lovely cheeses, have one of the best milkshakes around, or spoil yourself with some freshly baked scones with farm cream, whilst sipping on a coffee or tea.

At present, a licence is required for leisure fishing in Western Port, and there are regulations on the minimum size of fish, bait gathering and the techniques allowable for taking of various species. There are also strict regulations for boaters regarding approaching wildlife such as whales. Please make sure you are familiar with these regulations to avoid getting finned. There are also specific boating regulations pertaining to Victorian waterways. These regulations relate to boating matters such as boat licenses, safety, life jackets, flares and consumption of alcohol. Please check with the Marine Safety Board of Victoria or obtain a copy of the Victorian Boating Guide, available at police stations and fishing outlets.

At present, a licence is required for leisure fishing in Western Port, and there are regulations on the minimum size of fish, bait gathering and the techniques allowable for taking of various species. There are also strict regulations for boaters regarding approaching wildlife such as whales. Please make sure you are familiar with these regulations to avoid getting finned. There are also specific boating regulations pertaining to Victorian waterways. These regulations relate to boating matters such as boat licenses, safety, life jackets, flares and consumption of alcohol. Please check with the Marine Safety Board of Victoria or obtain a copy of the Victorian Boating Guide, available at police stations and fishing outlets.
