Really great pizza - I love the crust extra crispy and they actually get it just right!!
Staff is VERY friendly.

This place has amazing sushi. I usually order takeout and walk to the restaurant. I'll sit at the bar and have a glass of Pinot Noir if I have to wait. It's a nice experience!
The only negative is that they usually have a pretty long wait time for pick-up orders. I advise you plan ahead; I usually call about an hour to and hour and a half before I want to eat so I'm not starving while waiting.

The Highlands really has something for everyone!
Sandwiched between Bardstown Rd (where the action is) and Cherokee Park (for outdoor activities and admiration of stunning foliage) is the Historic Highlands Neighborhood.
The locals are welcoming to all and feel privileged to share their town with those who are interested. They are very proud of their hometown and work hard to keep it the pleasant neighborhood that it is.
In the Highlands, you are able to see the mix of Old Louisville with the New, the traditions upheld as well as their acceptance of progress, and the welcoming personalities one would expect to find in the charming Midwest.
It's really just a very pleasant place to spend your time.

Super cute store with a very cool vibe. The owner curates her establishment and you can feel her personal touch everywhere. I NEVER leave empty handed.
*It is a small shop and Masks are mandatory for all shoppers*
*TIP: if you find something you love, DO NOT PUT IT OFF! I didn't buy a ring that I absolutely fell in love with and when I went back it was gone. As she mostly stocks one-of-a-kind and unique items, you're not likely to find it again!

Things to do
This place is very low key; A neighborhood theatre with reclining leather seats.
This is THE LEAST EXPENSIVE theatre I've every been to so it was most definitely a great find! The attendants are very attentive and friendly.
The only "negatives" (or just not full positives) are:
1. The recliners are great but the seating doesn't have enough of a tiered/height difference between rows, it is not pronounced enough (in my opinion)
2. The concessions leave something to be desired. Coming from a large city I'm used to pizza, hot dogs (should be a standard), and chicken nuggets but here the only hot food they offer is popcorn and Nachos.

I couldn't believe that Louisville has a Venezuelan restaurant! It is behind La Bodeguita De Mima Cuban Restaurant and Rum Bar (yummy food here too - they share an owner!) connected by a beautiful, shared outdoor dining area out back.
As a Venezuelan woman, I certify that it is legit! There is of course a slight variation from the fare you would find in Venezuela, it is the closest you will get, and it gets VERY VERY close!
The empanadas, pepitos, quesillo, and cachapitas are exceptional and I recommend everyone go and try them ASAP!
*Tip: I LOVE passion fruit juice but don't always order it as it's usually too sweet. I make sure to ask for no/light ice and then ask them to top of about 1/4 of the juice with water to dilute it*
