The roads can be a little rugged but so worth the drive. Kangaroo Island's most easterly and windswept but sensational -it's worth a hike around the clifftops here for stunning views, wildflowers, and wildlife. You can imagine life of the early settlers and keepers with tours through the houses and or climb the lighthouse with guides. Whales are often spotted during the winter months.

Kangaroo Island's most easterly and windswept but sensational -it's worth a hike around the clifftops here for stunning views, wildflowers, and wildlife. You can imagine life of the early settlers and keepers with tours through the houses and or climb the lighthouse with guides. Whales are often spotted during the winter months.

There's easy hiking up through the national park to the west of the beach.
Beachwalking, waterside exploring, snorkelling and picnics, this beach offers a perfect place for each of those. Dining at the sheltered corners to the east end of this beach gives opportunity to spot dolphins, stingrays, pelicans and much more.

There's an artist's collective space here, a good range of varied works by local artisans. Semi precious stones set in eclectic silver by Peggy Rismiller (our local echidna exper) are some of my favourites. Nicholas Pike, local & renowned bird painter often has works here too. Fish from or walk along the beach.
