Local towns (within 25 min drive from the house)
Local town and villages close to home all reachable by car in under 25 minutes. Riva, Arco and Torbole are the closest and can easily be reached by bicycle. A ferry boat connects Riva with Limone and Malcesine. Please note that Lake-side towns can get very busy in high season and parking at times be can be challenging to find.

With charming winding cobbled streets, al-fresco dining and a striking hill-top castle Arco is a favourite amongst guests. Very popular with climbers and the best place to stock up on climbing and hiking gear for your outdoor adventures! Also a great start, end or in-between stop of the Valle dei Laghi cycle path. Arco can be reached via a short 10 min drive or 15 min cycle.

Located on the western shore of the Lake, Limone is immersed in a lush Mediterranean landscape and is among the most admired and visited villages on the lake. It is famous for his charming cobbled lines, roof-tile vistas and (of course!) Lemons, which have been grown in the typical lemon houses since 1700 (some of which are still in operation and open to the public). Limone is easily reachable via a 20 min drive along a dramatic road by the Lake or a ferry ride from Riva. It gets very busy in summer and parking can be an issue so plan accordingly.

Malcesine can be reached via ferry boat from Riva or a 25 min drive from the villa (on the same road where the opening car chase of 007 Quntum of Solace movie was filmed!)

NOTE: This sight gets incredibly busy with tour groups in the summer. Contact them to check when the less crowed times are to visit.
