Taksin pier is next to Taksin BTS train station. Travelers can take a free Boat ride to Icon Siam, one of the most popular shopping centers located beside the Chaopraya River, which is the main river in Bangkok.
In the past, Bangkok was once called Asia Venice, with several canals and rivers that enriched the city’s transportation. There are several types of boats; hop-on hop-off tourist boat ride, electric Mine Ferry, and Express Ferry. I recommend hop-on, hop-off, and Mine Ferry
Btw, in Taksin BTS station, there is a tourist help center. It opens between 10 am -5 pm

Thong yoy Cafe is a unique and photogenic Thai dessert cafe. Experiencing a unique local taste with fancy flowery decorated photos will also be quite memorable.
Located in Ari District, which is closer to the famous Chatuchak weekend market.
Btw, It is not close to Sathorn, and it takes 11 stops via the BTS line from Taksin to Ari station, and still needs to walk around 1.3kms but worth visiting.
Check out Ari area, it's also considered a hipster area with lots of cafes.
Additionally, There is also another Thongyoy cafe in Siam Paragon, in Siam district (Siam BTS station) which is more convenient

A friend of mine has recommended this fancy riverside Italian restaurant located in the Four Seasons hotel. If you want to try something nice and glam, but still not too harsh on the wallet. This place is recommended; I've never tried btw 😁

You can’t miss this great place to get inspired by an old meet-new mixed Thai-Chinese style riverside cafe. Hong Sieng Kong is an old warehouse converted into a coffee shop- restaurant. I recommend visiting during weekdays because, on weekends, it’s packed!
