The hotel is set in a historic mansion dating from 1740, surrounded by tropical gardens and iconic pool. 82-foot lap pool, one of the first to be built in the Bahamas in the mid-1950s. The pool was recently retiled with a hand-painted design by artist Sergio Furnari.

Great for keeping your drinks cool on the go. (We don't have many people selling food and drink directly on public beaches, so note that it's best to be bring your own refreshments or purchase in advance or going)

Things to remember!
- The supermarkets here close around 8pm, and even earlier on Sundays. If you are arriving late and need groceries please let us know and we will get you sorted!
- Alcohol is purchased separately in the liquor stores.
- Most liquor stores are closed on Sundays, during the week around 6pm.
- Most people drink bottled water, rather than the tap water.
- We do strongly advise that you use our approved Taxi driver for airport pick ups/trips.
- The currency here is BSD and USD, both are accepted everywhere. Most places accept cards, however some local places are just cash

Taxis
There is no uber here on island.
We have mini cabs/Taxis but they need to be booked in advance, you will not be able to hail them on the street unless you are downtown at the taxi rank or at one of the big hotels. We have several taxis that we use and will share numbers with you, but do remember to plan your days so you are not stuck.
Most taxis here take cash, only a few will take card.
Car rental can be arranged from around $40/50 per day.
Water Taxis are available from outside Senõr Frogs, downtown. They run from downtown to paradise Island $4 one way!

Buses
We are on the main tourist bus route #10 which can be picked up 2 mins from the apartment ( heading east). So for example your best bet is to wait on the opposite side of the road to Nesbitts. , next to the basketball court, as the bus can safely pull in.
The buses are puple type vans. They are known locally as Jitneys.
They take cash only. $1.25 per trip per person
Buses run until 7pm and only take cash $1.25 per ride.
There is no timetable, they come every 10-15 mins, and they stop wherever you hail them. The official bus stops are the yellow benches.

- We have two bikes available for you to use.
x1 ocean cruiser and x1 racer bike.
- We are located in a great spot which means you can cycle the back way along cable beach, this takes you down residential streets instead of the main road of cable beach.
- Cycling on the main road is fine, the roads can be narrow at times so please do take care. Cycling on the pavement here is permitted.
