Lake View Park located at 6km from Haven Lodge. It is a recreational area and wildlife spot located along the Rawal Lake.
The park is an amusement place of international standards offering services like picnic area including dedicated Bar B Q spots with grills, adventure sports like wall(rock) climbing, quad bikes in F1 Tracks, boating, fishing, fancy bird aviary, zoo, train rides, restaurants and much more.
A restaurant named 'Dera' offers good food and refreshment to visitors.

Guest cam make day trip to Patriata which is located at 1-1/2 hr drive from our home. The cooler climate in Patriata makes this hill station a favorable tourist location compared to further south. The large tourist presence in Murree also makes Patriata a more attractive hub for many. A Gondola chair lift and cable car system allow visitors to access the highest points. The area is heavily forested and there are many monkeys in the area.

Recommended for best Chinese cuisine. Excellent place with quite exquisite food and nice staff. I recommend chicken manchurian as well as chicken sesame seeds. From beef, can order crispy beef. Price is high but still worth try if you love chinese food.

Day trip to Murree Hills
If you have your own car,
You can visit Murree Mall Road, Murree Governor House and Bhurban located at 1hr drive. Enjoy lunch or dinner at PC Bhurban Hotel, coffee at Gloria Jean's.
Nathia Gali and Patriata is located at 2 hrs drive from Haven Lodge.
You can visit these places in day time and return back late night and stay at Haven Lodge. It is difficult to find nice clean hotel room in Murree and surroundings below 15000 rupees.
Guest can also contact caretaker to book our property available in Bhurban if required.

Winter and Rainy Season in Islamabad
Winter season in Islamabad start from November and ends in early March. Temperature in Winter ranges -2 to 15 deg. It is very cold especially when snow start in Murree in Dec- Feb. Pack your jacket, sweaters for cold weather.
Rainy season continue in Islamabad throughout year on and off. Keep your rain coats with you to cope with heavy rains of Islamabad.
