Shopping

One of the oldest retail shops in Gardiner...trust us, this is not your usual touristy "junk shop". They have some great items and it smells awesome because they still make saddles in the shop!

Parks & Nature

In the evenings the "Map Room" usually has live piano music and a slide show. The Mammoth hotel is a great place to book tours of the park and other activities.

A great spot in the winter! We love to go to Snow Lodge for a great weekend of cross country skiing and geyser gazing under the stars on a clear night. It's great in the summer too, just minus the skiing.

Be sure to take plenty of food, water and bear spray (we often have an extra bear spray you may take above the dryer-please read the instructions-only to be used on a bear!) This hike is beautiful and a local favorite. About 6 miles moderate in difficulty, excellent for views and beauty!

Sightseeing

This is typically the best place to spot wolves, just be sure to head out early as the wolves bed down in the heat of the day. Look for folks pulled over with spotting scopes out :)
