In my opinion the best restaurant in and around Bruneck. Wonderful high-level & local cuisine at very good prices. Be sure to book beforehand!

Although this place is about 45 min car drive + half hour walk away from Bruneck, it comes highly recommended from myself. Wonderful local food from a local chef who travelled the world - which sometimes you can also experience in his food!
Make sure you ask for the specials of the day (deer, venisson and beef!!!). I highly recommend the meat plates and the famous "Graukäsesuppe" (soup made with a local cheese, but not available all year round).
Park your car at the end of the public road in Kasern/Casere and enjoy the 30 minute walk to the Jägerhütte!
I would suggest to combine this visit with one to the South Tyrol Museum of Mining in Prettau/Predoi.
