My favorite art museum in St. Petersburg! Very nicely organized permanent exhibit (chronologically). It gives you a sense of Russian history through art. This is on my list before the Hermitage!

You don't have to go inside, but walking past this cathedral (with Dom Knigi across the street and the Savior on the Spilled Blood in view) is one of the most enjoyable moments of walking down Nevsky.
