This clock was part of a monument to Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. It has survived the great earthquake on the 22 February 2011 but the time (12:51) was stopped on the clock's face.

Lovely place, especially on spring and summer time when all the flowers and the threes have this amazing green bright colour. Highly recommended. I especially love the Japanese Garden. ;)

Hagley Park is great place for a walk, a run, a picnic or just hang out with some friends. A lot of events take place in the park in spring and summer. Just 5min walk from home. :)

Great museum. So much to see and learn about the local and NZ history. Very interesting Maori exhibitions and Antarctic exhibitions. Make sure you set-aside a few hours to see it all! :)

The Cathedral is a city landmark. Unfortunately you can't visit it because of the earthquake damage but you can view it through a creatively fenced area. The square itself is a cool place to hang out.

A beautiful river running through the CBD. Nice to walk along or just sit and ruminate. Pretty and well maintained areas for relaxing. Catch a gondola to really make the most of this lovely river.
