Sole Cafe is the best value pasta in Kyoto (possibly Japan)! Pastas change each day, but there is almost always a vegetarian option or two. The normal size is fine and for an extra 100 yen you can get a meal almost too big for me (a 6'4" kiwi guy) to eat. Try the yogurt milkshakes.
