Check online for rocket launches of the Kennedy Space Center just about an hours drive from New Smyrna Beach. If you're having a lazy day, just step out on the beach and look to the south. You will see the red-orange glow of a rocket rising upward and in a few seconds you will hear the roar that seems to shack the ground.
