This restaurant has a great menu, all the items are very flavorful (I've tried almost all of them!). Great atmosphere with outdoor patio area great for evening hang-out with amazing fireplace. Staff is courteous and friendly! Large portions, so be ready to split a main dish if you don't have a hearty appetite.

This is a new place to Midland, but so amazing! It is a Nursery (we seem to do that well out here) that is a Craft Beer Garden inside. Green houses have a variety of seating options and there is true outdoor seating as well. Keep this in mind depending upon what time of year you go, it could be cold!
They also serve bar food, some appetizers and snacks, not huge serving size, so if you want dinner, eat before you go. Live music is great.

7112 W Hwy 80This is a new place to Midland, but so amazing! It is a Nursery (we seem to do that well out here) that is a Craft Beer Garden inside. Green houses have a variety of seating options and there is true outdoor seating as well. Keep this in mind depending upon what time of year you go, it could be cold!

Touted as a Piano Bar ... Cigar Frog's is a great place to hang out, have a beer or glass of wine, and enjoy a cigar! With a cool outdoor patio and firepit, this is the "divey place" to hang out.

The Hemingway is a classic place in Midland. With outdoor patio and indoor seating as well. Buy a top notch cigar and order a glass of wine ... Nice! Cigar's range in price and they offer beer and wine. Pipe smokers are also welcomed at The Hemingway. Live bands entertain you and the people are great to interact with ... both customers and staff.

Best place in Midland to go if you want to dance! Classic C&W atmosphere, but mixed with others as well ... it really is the only place to go dance. Crowd is mixed in age, and makes for a nice time with generations learning to dance with each other.

Anything you want to know about the oil and gas industry is displayed and explained here! See amazing "core samples" displayed, simply gorgeous. Various crystals from drilling are also on display and you won't believe your eyes. The museum houses a race car history wing with some of the first race cars on display. The name doesn't do this place justice ... it is a great place to visit. Allow plenty of time to get through it all.

Obviously that means our first George Bush President lived there as well, H.W., Father of G.W. This is a great place to visit, close to downtown with an attached museum and gift shop. You get to see the humble beginnings of this amazing family.

Ask anyone who has been in the audience, onstage, or who has volunteered in any capacity and they are generally washed over by a wave of confusion as they attempt to come up with the appropriate (or inappropriate) words to explain the phenomenon that is Summer Mummers. That said we will do our best to explain it here.
Summer Mummers has served as the main fundraiser for Midland Community Theatre for nearly 70 years. The summer long event begins performances early June and ends the final weekend of August. The performance itself includes a classic melodrama in which the audience is encouraged to throw popcorn and “boo” every time the villain appears on stage. This portion of the show is broken down into three acts and includes “moviolas” (film shorts of the cast and local celebrities at various locations around Midland that help move the stories plot). After the melodrama is complete the Olio begins. The Olio is basically an hour long variety show featuring dancers, comedy sketches, lip sync routines, and of course, a card girl (va va va voom).
Summer Mummers has become a Midland tradition, a right-of-passage, and a one-of-a-kind event that draws attendants from not only nearby communities but also guests from other states and other countries. In the end, the best way to know what Summer Mummers is, is not through explanation but rather experience. Join us this summer either in-the-house or behind-the-scenes and truly learn what we mean by
“It can’t be explained…it must be experienced!”
If you get the opportunity to attend this unusual show, be sure to tuck your shirt in (or you will leave with popcorn in your underpants), and wear shoes that will not slip easily (uh, because of the butter popcorn all over the floor - literally inches of it!!).

It has a walking path that goes around it for some nice exercise. Bring a blanket and have a picnic, take a picture in the Gazebo, and watch the fountain change colors at night!!
