Classic Caribbean details like whitewashed ceilings and louvered doors meet contemporary touches from Lucite railings to slide-away glass at this Saint-Barthélemy bungalow. It’s bright and breezy, thanks to both its open-concept layout and its hilltop perch overlooking the bay. Drive 4 minutes down to Anse de Marigot, the only gray-sand beach on the island. Put an album on the outdoor sound system and spend the day in the sunshine around a heated swimming pool, and a deck with lounging and living areas and a barbecue. Nearly wall-to-wall slide-away glass leads from the pool terrace to the great room, whose living area, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen all share a vaulted, whitewashed ceiling.
