The Tropical Flower Lodge sits at the foothills of Mt Bartle Frere, surrounded by lush rainforest and vibrant tropical gardens. Our property is also a working flower farm, home to a wide variety of Heliconias and Gingers. The lodge is completely self‑sustaining. Located in a sleepy little beach town that time forgot. Where ancient palms shade your path and prehistoric creatures still roam the land. The slow monday sits on the edge of protected forest (a cassowary corridor) just a stroll from the beach. A modern take on the classic Australian beach shack, the house is designed for the Queensland tropics. There are two pavilions, one for living and the other for sleeping, all with large glass sliding doors that open up to let the environment in.

Birdwing Hut in the Rainforest

This simple hut nestled into the rainforest is a birdwatcher's paradise! The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Mission Beach Farmstay

Daily rate is for a couple using the king bedroom. If you want to use an extra bedroom, it is $30 per person per night. Book at the extra person rate. Modern cottage in traditional Queenslander style, just a few minutes drive to the beach, to cafes, restaurants and retail shops. Relax on our organic fruit farm with stunning views to world heritage rainforest. There are little touches to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Plenty of room for families.

Set on 40 Private acres, this modern cabin has a separate air-cond bedroom with k/size bed. Fully equipped kitchen, lounge with sofa that converts to a d/bed for extra guests.
