A wonderful marine cave, where the last Bue Marino (a type of seal) was spotted in the Mediterranean. The south branch of the cave can be reached only by boat and the north branch only on foot

It’s a scenic 40-minute hike from Cala Fuili, or a speedy boat ride from Cala Gonone, to this enchanting grotto. It was the last island refuge of the rare monk seal (‘bue marino’ or ‘sea ox’ as it was known by local fishers). The watery gallery is impressive, with shimmering light playing on the strange shapes and Neolithic petroglyphs within the cave. Guided visits take place up to seven times a day. In peak season you may need to book at the Cala Gonone portside kiosk for 'Comune di Dorgali'. Note: boat tickets do not include entry tickets to the cave, which must be paid in cash.

beautiful-fresh-only by boat-buy a ticket-there's a very gentle and prepared guide-it takes about 1 hour-river meets the sea inside the cave-sala degli specchi- very good for families with children

Terrestrial caves accessible from the sea or on the trail to Cala Luna. If you do not take the boat with your admission ticket included and opt to reach the caves by land, please inform yourself about the entrance payment methods.

Sono spettacolari! Volendo dopo un trekking di 30 minuti arrivate su una scogliera da dove parte la passerella in ferro a picco sul mare. Purtroppo il Ramo Nord è visitabile solo su prenotazione, ma la vista sulla scogliera merita la camminata 🤩
