The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is an air and space museum dedicated to NH space pioneers Christa McAuliffe (NASA's 1st Teacher-in-Space) and Admiral Alan Shepard (America's 1st astronaut and, as Apollo XIV Commander, one of only 12 human beings to have walked on the Moon)

A small museum and memorial with both personal and science information on NH's 2 famous astronauts. The Discovery Center's stated mission is to inspire new generations to explore space, through engaging, artful, and entertaining activities focused on astronomy, aviation, Earth and space science.
