Khalid Mohammed is a chef’s chef. His fine dining restaurant, Chaud (the French word for “hot”), was named the 2015 Restaurant of the Year by both the Trinidad Hotels, Restaurants & Tourism Association and the Jamaican Observer’s Table Talk awards. Chaud’s purpose-built dining rooms may be the most exquisitely comfortable in Trinidad – but the most glorious ambiance means sweet zero potato if the food isn’t magnificent. Chaud is highly recommended. Dinner and Lunch menus a la Carte.

Set in secluded St Ann's, this is Trini fine-dining at its best. The gourmet creations of local superchef Khalid Mohammed might include slow-cooked lamb shank with cassava risotto and gremolata, or geera-crusted kingfish with tomato choka, aloo gobi and dhal. The five- or 10-course tasting menu is unforgettable, but you can also come for the reasonably priced three-course set lunch.

Ok this restaurant has actually moved (although it's shows to be on the Savannah, it's actually must closer to where we are now. The address is 6 Nook Ave St. Anns. It's just before the Normandie Hotel! It's our favorite restaurant! It's is fine dining and not cheap but well worth the splurge if you want to experience one of the best chefs on the island! We do an annual magazine called CreOle and it's the guide to dining in Trinidad and Tobago - you can check out all the restaurants on our website. www.cre-ole.com
