Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery is the largest trout-rearing facility operated by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Located just beneath the dam.

Fun place to visit, just down the road from The Pointe, at the foot of the dam. Learn how the state of Missouri raises the trout that stock Lake Taneycomo. (There is a hiking trail that starts of Wimbledon Drive in The Pointe that goes to the hatchery, about a 2 mile hike).
