This is the only building through which the Appalachian Trail passes. It is a beautiful historic building, with everything a hiker needs!

A hiker's outpost and STORE (the first hiker hostel stop on the Appalachian Trail). They have an awesome selection of unique local gifts, pottery and art. It's an adorable store and if you're in the market for some hiking shoes, these are the experts that can get you in the right pair. We always stop here for provisions on our way to hiking Blood Mountain. It's located right before the Blood Mountain trailhead.
