If you are looking for some waves, this is the best place to rent boards, get lessons, and find some good waves. Just over an hour from the villa.

We've rented boards and taken lessons from this shop and we highly recommend it! They have great instructors and rental equipment. If you go early you can park across the street right on the beach. The guy in the vest who "parks" you doesn't own the lot or work for someone who does. All beach parking in Costa Rica is free. It is customary to give them a few colones for "watching your car" but not the $10 he asks for, unless you'd like to.
