A summer favourite! Darley Abbey is a former historic mill village, now a suburb of the city of Derby known for its greenery and picturesque landscape. A wonder around Darley abbey is always a hit; well loved fun in the sun.
Local park, lovely for walks along the Derwent with nice cafes. Hosts the national collection of Hydrangeas
Our nearest park. 0.9 miles away. 80 acres. Popular with dog walkers, the river Derwent runs through it. There are tea rooms, tennis courts and children's play areas. To park put the postcode DE22 1DU (the postcode for Darley Abbey Cricket Club). Their playing field is on the edge of the park with the Paper Mill pub also sharing their free car park.
A mere one minute walk from Weaver Cottage, Darley Park is an excellent backdrop for a short walk.
