A bit of a tight squeeze to get in, but this standing bar is an excellent place to talk, laugh, eat, and drink good shochu. It has a fun payment system, too. Put some cash in the small basket and then just start ordering. The staff will take a little money from the basket every time you order, and request a refill when you run out. The wall of shochu behind the bar is color-coded to indicate the price, and the bottles at the top price point are generally very good value for the money, which is why they only allow one per customer per visit. A great one I had there recently was the sweet potato-based Kawagoe.
