Another great watering hole. You will have seen this in my normal guidebook. I've included it here, as it's a great winter swimming spot. You feel totally secure as it is a tidal pool, so when the tide is out, you have the walls to protect you from being dragged out to sea. It's also Grade I listed so a must to visit and take plenty of pictures.

The largest tidal pool in the UK! Built for the Victorians and still in use today. A must-swim for all swimmers!

Lovely local beach and Tidal Pool. 10 minutes walk from the property along the coast (direction to The Turner and 5 mins past the Lido) .

Walpole Bay tidal pool is good fun if you fancy a dip or a paddle. We go crabbing there with the kids. You just need some bacon and can pick up crab lines from the pound shops next door to Cliffs Cafe on Northdown Rd. You can also take a disposable BBQ down with you or picnic and watch the amazing sunsets.

Walpole tidal pool is a lovely place to swim or join a swim club. Have a swim and see if you felt powerful with the sea view opposite.
